Behind the Chair | Dawn’s Creative Designs
With over 40 years behind the chair, my passion for hair artistry continues to grow. My career has been built on creativity, ongoing education, and a commitment to helping clients look and feel their best.
After moving from Lansing, Michigan to Boca Raton in my early twenties, I trained and worked in some of the area’s top salons. Those experiences refined my technical skills and shaped the personalized approach I bring to every client today.
In October 2023, I opened East Coast Hair Studio, an intimate boutique space where experience, artistry, and personal attention come together.
Through Dawn’s Creative Designs, I continue my greatest passion—working behind the chair. I specialize in dimensional, natural color, blonde highlights, and precision cutting for both women and men, creating styles tailored to each client’s features, texture, and lifestyle. From custom color formulation to shape and movement, detail is at the core of my work.
My philosophy is simple: beautiful hair should enhance who you are, not change who you are.
I take the time to listen, understand your vision, and truly work with each client individually . Together, we create a look that feels effortless, polished, and authentically you.

Mohammed | International Hair Artist & Colorist
My journey in the hair industry began in 2004 and has taken me around the world, giving me the opportunity to work with diverse clients, cultures and techniques that have shaped the stylist I am today.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in prestigious salons internationally, including Pace e Luce in Dubai and Qatar. My experience abroad, combined with extensive advanced training in London and Paris, has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in both hair color and cutting while continually evolving with the latest techniques and trends.
After moving to Boca Raton in 2017, I knew I had found a place I could call home. Today, my focus is on providing expert, personalized color and cutting services while creating an experience that is as individual as each client.
I believe beautiful results begin with a detailed consultation. By taking the time to understand your hair, lifestyle and desired look, I can combine your vision with my professional guidance to create a style that is polished, flattering and uniquely yours.

For over 30 years, Jennifer Lemega has been a trusted name in the East Boca Raton community — a master colorist whose artistry is matched only by her genuine care for her clients and the health of their hair.
Jennifer specializes in blonding services and is celebrated for creating color that looks effortlessly natural — never overdone. Her passion for healthy hair, natural-looking color, and natural texture is at the heart of everything she does. Whether crafting a seamless balayage or sculpting a precision cut, her work reflects decades of skill and a true artist's eye.
A former salon owner, Jennifer built her reputation from the ground up. Today, she offers select part-time availability, giving each client a personal, unhurried, and exceptional experience.
Outside of work, Jennifer is happiest surrounded by her fur babies, spending quality time with her nieces and nephews, and living a yogi life — grounded, intentional, and full of good energy.

Jenny | Master Stylist • Colorist • Extension Specialist
With over 25 years of experience as a Master Stylist in the Boca Raton area, I have built my career around creating beautiful, personalized hair while developing lasting relationships with my clients.
I specialize in professional color, precision haircuts for both women and men, and customized styling. Through extensive advanced education with Schwarzkopf and Wella Koleston Professional, I have developed a strong understanding of color formulation and techniques that allow me to create beautiful, customized results for each client.
As a certified tape-in extension specialist, I enjoy creating natural-looking length, volume and fullness tailored to the individual. I also specialize in Lasio Keratin Smoothing Treatments, which I have found to be especially effective for managing frizz and creating smoother, more manageable hair in South Florida’s climate.
Continuing education has always been an important part of my career. I stay current with evolving trends, techniques and products so I can continue offering my clients the very best in color, cutting and styling.
I believe every great result begins with a thoughtful consultation. Taking the time to listen, understand your hair and discuss your vision allows us to create a look that not only meets your expectations, but truly feels like you.

With over 25 years in the beauty industry and deep roots in South Florida, Ivy brings experience, creativity and a genuine passion for helping every client look and feel their best. Having spent much of her career in the Downtown Boca Raton area, she has built a loyal following through personalized service, attention to detail and a commitment to creating healthy, beautiful hair.
Ivy specializes in customized color using professional lines including Schwarzkopf, Redken and Wella, along with precision haircutting and styling for both women and men. She is also certified in hair extensions through She by So.Cap, Hairtalk and Bellami Hair, and offers keratin smoothing treatments as well as wedding and special event styling.
With a strong focus on the health and integrity of the hair, Ivy believes the best results begin with understanding each client—their hair, lifestyle and individual style. Her goal is to create beautiful, wearable looks that enhance natural beauty while leaving clients feeling confident and refreshed.

Alberto | Master Colorist & Precision Cutting Expert
With decades of experience in the beauty industry, Alberto is an accomplished Master Colorist and precision cutting expert for both women and men. His career includes more than 18 years as the owner of a highly successful full-service salon in New York, where he built a reputation for exceptional artistry, technical expertise and personalized service.
A defining influence in Alberto’s career was the rare opportunity to be personally trained by the legendary Vidal Sassoon. This hands-on experience helped shape his approach to cutting—combining precision, structure and creativity to create styles that complement each client’s individual features, hair texture and lifestyle.
Throughout his career, Alberto has remained committed to advanced education, traveling internationally to attend leading industry shows, workshops and training throughout Europe, South America and beyond. His extensive experience, combined with his dedication to evolving techniques and trends, allows him to bring both timeless expertise and a modern perspective to his work.
Known for his attention to detail and commitment to the health and integrity of the hair, Alberto approaches every client with a thoughtful consultation and a highly personalized eye. His goal is to create beautiful, sophisticated results that feel natural, polished and uniquely suited to the individual.

Mary Liz’s Bio
Mary Liz Maya | Master Colorist • Stylist • Makeup Artist
With more than 30 years in the beauty industry, Mary Liz Maya brings a unique combination of experience, artistry and international perspective to her work.
Her career began as a model in Milan, Paris and New York, where she worked alongside some of the industry’s leading hairstylists and makeup artists. Those experiences helped shape her artistic eye and her approach to creating a complete, personalized look through hair color, styling and makeup.
Following her modeling career, Mary Liz returned to her true passion—hair artistry. Her extensive experience with professional color led to recognition as an award-winning Wella colorist, and in 2002 she was named one of the Top 10 Hair Colorists in the United States.
Throughout her career, Mary Liz has worked in some of South Florida’s most prestigious salons, including The Red Door in Boca Raton, while continuing her advanced education to stay current with evolving techniques and trends.
Her passion for beauty also inspired the creation of Mary Liz Cosmetics, her own makeup line. As both a colorist and makeup artist, Mary Liz enjoys bringing all aspects of beauty together to create a polished, cohesive look.
Today at East Coast Hair Studio, Mary Liz combines decades of experience with a highly personalized approach, creating beautiful results that enhance each client’s individual features, style and confidence.

With over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry, Emel Sezgin brings creativity, precision and an artistic eye to every client she works with. Her background as an art teacher gives her a unique perspective on color, balance and shape, allowing her to create customized looks that complement each client’s individual features and style.
Emel specializes in dimensional color, balayage, custom color and professional styling, with a strong focus on maintaining the health and integrity of the hair. Her talents also extend to makeup artistry and event hair, where she creates polished, radiant makeup looks alongside beautifully styled hair for weddings, special occasions and nights out.
Passionate about continuing education, Emel stays current with modern techniques and evolving trends while bringing her own creative approach to her work.
